Fishing Drummond Island

Customeye’s Charters LLC

Spring Perch/SmallMouth Bass Fishing

The spring perch run begins when the ice retreats from the shallow bays.
During this time anglers have the opportunity to catch large yellow perch as they make their way into the shallows to spawn. The best fishing usually only last a few days. With the limited opportunity, bookings fill up fast so its best to book early.

This time of the year is also an excellent time to play catch and release with giant pre-spawn smallmouth bass. The action this time of the year is usually incredible as they are trying to put on as much feed as possible before spawning. Of course this is only catch and release at this time as they are not in season to keep.

Also i offer lake trout jigging on lake Huron spring is the time for big fish!!

Summer Walleye/Bass, and Northern Pike Fishing

Summers on Drummond Island offer many incredible opportunities for anglers. May 15th is opening season for Walleye and Northern Pike. Fishing in the scenic back drop of Drummond Island provides a one of a kind experience with unmatched beauty.

As a guide I offer trips targeting multiple species, including walleye, northern pike, jigging lake trout, and smallmouth. I prefer to have my clients get as much hands on experience as possible. I use multiple techniques: trolling, casting and jigging to target all 3 species.

Fall Perch/Walleye, and Musky Fishing

As summer comes to an end and water temperatures start to drop the fall fishing begins. This time of the year is especially good for large numbers of yellow perch as they school up and return to the shallows. This time of the year also provides an awesome opportunity for casting for large Walleyes.

At the tail end of the fall season and when water temperatures dip down to just above freezing, anglers have an excellent chance at catching trophy size Muskies.

Winter Ice Fishing

The Island also offers several different opportunities for anglers. The shallow bays are excellent places to set up spearing shacks for Northern Pike. The deeper waters on the north side of the Island offer great mixed bags: including yellow perch, whitefish, herring, northern pike and walleye.
